The SL-TS_Optical Switch module features a wide optical input range and rapid switching time, providing cost-effective network backup and redundancy functionality.

Specifications

Description

The SL-TranScend TSD-OS-C optical switch is part of the SL-TranScend product family. It facilitates automatic and cost-effective network backup and redundancy, increasing plant reliability by providing for a self-healing network. The TSD-OS-C wide input range (-10 to +15 dBm) meets a variety of application needs. Each optical switch has two optical inputs and a single optical output and can be operated as a 1×2 or a 2×1 optical switch. Its internal detector measures the input optical level and switches when the optical level drops below the user-defined threshold. The TSD-OS-C optical switch offers SNMP remote monitoring.

Features

  • Four compact modules in a single SL-TranScend TSD-CH-DC chassis
  • Hardened -20°C to +75°C version available
  • 1550nm and 1310nm operation
  • Direction insensitive
  • SNMP remote monitoring

Benefits

  • Reduces system costs by eliminating backup transmitters
  • Increases system reliability
  • Reduces downtime with automatic switching
